On this project my clients were inmidtown, whose objective it is to make Bloomsbury, Holborn and St Giles a quality environment in which to work and live, a vibrant area to visit and a profitable place to do business.

The client had taken on the lease of a vacant shop on New Oxford Street and wanted to turn it into a drop in centre for all visitors to the area who want to find more information about Bloomsbury, Holborn and St Giles.

InMidTown contacted me with a view to developing an interior design scheme for the shop, including the design of a reception counter. After an in depth meeting with the client I produced layout options for the shop together with interior elevations illustrating three different ideas, with three different positions for the reception counter.

Once the client had decided with which scheme to go forward I produced detailed layouts, interior and exterior elevations, as well as detailed designs for the reception counter and window seat. The drawings included specifications of all materials used, integrating inmidtown's corporate colour scheme: orange, grey, black and white. The client also appointed a lighting designer and a master joiner, I worked in close liaison with both, and the master joiner produced the reception desk based on my designs.

The shop is now open to the public.
